There are sadly now only four chicks as once suddenly died in the night from a rupture where the yolk gets reabsorbed. I'd never heard of it before but it turns out this is a thing that can happen to chicks.
The good news is that the other four are all big and strong, they range in age from 3 to 4 weeks. They have enough wing feathers now to be able to tell that there is a fallow cock, a green cock and two green hens. Unfortunately Bean, the father decided to try to pluck out their feathers so he's now been removed and they're growing again.
For the past few days they have been peeking out of the nest entrance and today the eldest chick came out by himself for the first time.
